Karl grew up in Montrose, PA and recently returned there with his wife, Laura.
A Montrose High School graduate, he obtained a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado and then a MS and an Engineers Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School. After retiring from Naval Aviation, he worked in the defence industry developing integrated computer-centric systems and then founded CardioNet, Inc., a national ambulatory cardiac monitoring company.
Karl is currently involved in local real estate development while trying to slow down for more golf and skiing.
Laura grew up in Glendale, California and received a BA in history from U.C. Davis and a masters in history from U.C. San Diego. After working in public schools and raising her family, Laura obtained a law degree from Widener University, subsequently practicing law for the next thirty years as a member of both the Pennsylvania and California bars.
Laura is on the board of Susquehanna County Library Historical Library & Free Library Association and is President of her local community home owners’ association. She enjoys golf, bridge and reading.
